The Original Eumundi Markets Office (The Pink Building)

The co-ordination of The Original Eumundi Markets happens inside what is usually referred to as 'the pink building'. This structure looks like it comes from Eumundi's early days but it was actually only moved into town in 1983 to be the original premises of the Eumundi Museum.

For much of the early history of the town, this block was the site of a private residence and garden. The distinctive pink building that stands here today was built in the mid-20th century.

The building has served a number of commercial purposes over the decades. It is currently home to the administration offices of the Original Eumundi Markets, one of Australia's most famous artisan markets which has been operating since 1979.

The Eumundi Markets began as a small gathering of local stall holders and has grown into a major tourism attraction, drawing visitors from across Australia and around the world every Wednesday and Saturday.
